Mountains-o-Mounts
If you haven't heard it yet, here's some news. Your Albino Drake? Not so special anymore. Sure it was fun while it lasted, but it was never really that rare of a special mount. The Proto-drake mounts are harder to come by. Not to mention those drop only mounts that are based completely on luck. So what is the rarest of the rare? Yep, a new mount. Dragonhawk. It appears that two colors will be available, red and blue. There's a possibility that they are color coordinated towards faction, but hopefully they aren't. The Dragonhawk mounts look extremely unique, there's no other mount type like it in the game.
Wrath of the Lich King Ten Day Trial
Blizzard has announced that they are now offering a ten day trial for Wrath of the Lich King.
If you or a friend haven't yet experienced the new content Wrath of the Lich King has to offer, including the chance to face off with the dread Lich King Arthas himself, you can sign up now to play a 10-day free trial version of this latest expansion to World of Warcraft.
During your 10-day free trial, you'll explore the frozen wastes of Northrend, wield the necromantic powers of the new death knight Hero class, take control of massive siege vehicles in the new open-world PvP zone of Wintergrasp, and much more.
To participate, you’ll need full versions of World of Warcraft and The Burning Crusade, as well as a character of at least level 55 (to create a death knight) or level 68 (to explore Northrend). More information on the 10-day free trial is available in our FAQ. Your journey awaits!

While getting your character(s) to eighty is obviously a focus with the new expansion, another grind to keep in mind is the faction grind. There have been some major changes to the faction grind in Wrath of the Lich King.
Let's get the important news in first. Quoted from WorldofWarcraft.com:
Northrend Special Reputation Tabards:
If you're friendly with certain Northrend dungeon factions (Wyrmrest Accord, Knights of the Ebon Blade, Kirin Tor and Argent Crusade only), you can wear that faction's tabard to any level 80 dungeon and funnel all the rep to that faction. Make sure you pick up your tabard as soon as you can!
Raising faction is much more enjoyable than in the past. Now you can run any level 80 or heroic dungeon and accrue the reputation of your choice....as long as your choice is one of the four factions that have tabards. Tabards can be purchased once your reputation with that faction reaches Friendly. Additionally, running the regular dungeon daily results in the award of a token good for faction rep with one of the four tabard factions. Just choose the faction you wish to focus on and faction gains should fly compared with past reputation grinds. I still suffer the occasional Naga nightmare after grinding my way to Exalted with the Sporeggar.
